The annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup provides volunteers an opportunity to serve their community by beautifying the Charles River and its surrounding parklands. Last year over 4,000 volunteers removed an estimated 5 tons of trash from sites throughout the Charles River watershed. This year, the Cornell Club of Boston will be participating with two volunteer groups: one in downtown Boston and the other in the in Waltham.
The exact locations for each group will depend on the number of volunteers that sign up for the event, so further information will be provided closer to April 30. The downtown Boston location will be accessible by MBTA. All supplies needed for the cleanup (shovels, gloves, bags, etc.) will be provided.
While supplies last, volunteers who attend will receive a free Charles River Cleanup day t-shirt!
