Join us in East Cambridge to hear the latest from the Deputy Dean and Dean of Academic Affairs for Cornell SC Johnson College of Business as part of our premier event of the year, the Annual Meeting.
The Cornell Club of Boston is excited to welcome Chris Barrett, Stephen B. and Janice G. Ashley Professor of Applied Economics and Management and Deputy Dean and Dean of Academic Affairs for Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, who will be the keynote speaker at this year's event.
In his talk, Overcoming Persistent Poverty and Malnutrition in Africa: How Business Can and Does Help, Dean Barrett will discuss the role of private business in combating vexing societal challenges in the poorest, rural areas of Africa. This presentation illustrates the mission and vision of Cornell’s newest college, the SC Johnson College of Business, as it advances its vision to “inspire leaders to build sustainable, shared prosperity” and its mission to “transcend the traditional boundaries of business education and research to transform critical thinking into practical solutions.”
All alumni, current students, parents, and friends are encouraged to attend this special event.
