Are you feeling isolated during this unprecedented time of “shelter-in-place”?
You are invited to connect with fellow Boston area Cornellians over Zoom to discuss your thoughts and feelings that have bubbled up as a result of the current pandemic.
The goals of this discussion forum are:
· To feel more connected through peer support;
· To discuss your experiences and feelings during this time;
· To share your stories and to allow deeper conversations so you don’t feel alone;
· To provide opportunities for new friendships;
· To provide on-going weekly informal group support via Zoom.
Ground Rules for this Forum:
Confidentiality is important. We want you to participate in the way that feels most comfortable and safe for you. During the call, you can remain anonymous or partially anonymous; you can use your full name, first name or an alias; you can have your video camera off or on; and you can participate (or not) to the extent you choose.
Facilitators:
Emily Liu (HumEc ’84) will lead and facilitate the group and guide you through understanding your thoughts and emotions. Emily’s ability to guide participants into deeper conversations about their personal and professional lives have been well-received during her previous interactive workshops for CCoB.
Dustin Liu (ILR ’19) (no relation to Emily) will be the co-facilitator. Dustin served as the Student Trustee on the Cornell Board of Trustees. He is currently a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
