Looking for ways to volunteer with fellow alumni on Earth Day? Please join the Cornell Club of Boston for the 25th annual Charles River Earth Day Clean-up on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10am-12pm.
If there is interest, a group of us can meet up afterwards for lunch at a nearby eatery. We will be partnering with the Charles River Conservancy and the Esplanade Association to remove trash along the Charles River Basin (Cambridge, Watertown, and Allston/Brighton) and the Charles River Esplanade between the Museum of Science and the BU Bridge (Cambridge). Trash bags, picker-uppers, and other cleanup materials will be supplied to those who wish to participate.
Exact location and further details for meet up will be sent to registrants on or after April 1st.
History: The Charles River Cleanup is one of the largest Earth Day Cleanups in the country! The Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup was started by the Charles River Watershed Association in 1999, in an effort to clean up the river. The Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which to date, has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways Any questions,
