Looking for ways to volunteer and give back to the community? Please join us on Wednesday, July 17th from 8am-12pm to help the American Red Cross Boston Food Pantry!
Capacity of up to 6 volunteers. Volunteers must be 18+ years old. Volunteers will help with assembling food bags, distributing them to clients, and loading cars and tables for pick up and distribution. E-mail with specific details will be sent the week before the volunteer event.
About the Boston Food Pantry
The Boston Food Pantry is operated by the American Red Cross of Massachusetts. Since 1982, we’ve been on a mission to help alleviate hunger and food insecurity among low-income communities throughout the Boston area. We provide food and nutrition resources to individuals and families at our pantry, through mobile distribution programs and a Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Our Food Recycling program diverts food waste from landfills by transporting it to local farms where it can be recycled into compost. As a trusted resource in our community, and one of the largest in New England, we proudly served more than 382,000 people, many of which are children, this last fiscal year (FY21).
Parking Information:
There is limited parking directly behind the 1033 Mass Ave. building. Turn into the Liquor Land parking lot from
Mass Ave. and proceed behind the building. You will see American Red Cross trucks parked on both sides of the
alley. You can park on either side behind the trucks. Please do not park along the fence facing the playground and
basketball courts. This is parking for Liquor Land and cars will be towed. If there are no available spots, you will
need to find parking on the street. Parking at South Bay Shopping Center may result in ticketing/towing.
