Charles River Earth Day Cleanup with Cornell Club of Boston

  • waterton, MA United States (map)

Looking for ways to volunteer? Please join fellow alumni at the annual Charles River Earth Day Clean-up on Saturday, April 26, 2025. We will be partnering with the Charles River Watershed Association in the cleanup of the parks, forests, and paths along the upper portion of our river in Cambridge, Watertown, Allston, and Brighton!

In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we encourage volunteers to bring their own pair of gloves. Trash bags, picker-uppers, and other cleanup materials will be supplied to those who wish to participate.

Exact location and further details for meet up will be sent to registrants after April 1st.

The Earth Day Charles River Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways. Our cleanup brings together over 3,000 volunteers each year to pick up litter, remove invasive species and assist with park maintenance along all 80 miles of the Charles River.

History: The Charles River Cleanup is one of the largest Earth Day Cleanups in the country! The Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup was started by the Charles River Watershed Association in 1999, in an effort to clean up the river. The Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which to date, has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways Any questions,
